We conduct research in computational biology and statistical genomics with applications to high throughput
biological assays and health research.

Xuekui Zhang

I am a PhD student in Statistics at the University of British Columbia. My research supervisors are Raphael Gottardo at the Clinical Research Institute of Montreal, and Kevin Murphy at the Univeristy of British Columbia. My research is to devise statistical methods for high-throughput data of genomics, including ChIP-seq. Currently, I am working on both algorithm and software development for the ChIP-seq data. In addition to the ChIP-seq project, I am also involved in another project of developing both algorithm and software for Bayesian modeling of family-based genetic association study.

Prior to joining the Department of Statistics at the University of British Columbia in 2007, I completed my Master’s studies in the Department of Statistics at the University of British Columbia in 2005, and then worked as a statistician in the iCapture center and SiriusGenomics inc.
